A city full of luxury brands at outlet prices, plus a huge online shop. That’s right! We’re talking about Europe’s largest outlet, Outletcity Metzingen. And what goes hand in hand with shopping? Grabbing a coffee! Yes, that too. But also: complaints, exchanges, and tax-free services. Customers can find all of this and much more at the Outlet Welcome Center (OWC), located on the ground floor of the Moxy Hotel.
The design and planning were created by blocher partners, and we at Knobis brought the interior to life. Today, visitors will find a place to ask questions, arrive, and unwind — but also to meet, discuss, and work. With service counters, a conference area, a bar, a kitchen, and a VIP area, a customer-friendly ensemble of multifunctional spaces has been created. All furnished with handcrafted custom pieces from our own carpentry workshop.
The calming architecture of the space clears the mind: sensory overload, goodbye! A clear, intuitive design guides customers through the different areas. In the reception area, the urban industrial look is enriched with natural elements. Here, polished exposed concrete walls are elegantly interrupted by fine wooden slats. Passing the retro-style, grey-blue information counters, visitors are led into the VIP lounge with its inviting seating areas. Structure is added to the space by custom shelving systems: wooden cabinets set into metal frames — some floating, some extending to the ceiling. The construction offers space for plants and decorative elements without blocking light or making the room feel heavy. In the conference area, paneled walls made of fine walnut wood create a warm atmosphere and pleasant acoustics.
