A fresh, cool shade of blue reminiscent of a day by the sea. A gold-coloured counter and lighting elements that radiate warmth into the room. Earthy wood tones contrast with rough brick walls, reminding us of the historic building’s character. Working together with Pattana Naksut, we realised his dream of creating a flexible café, restaurant and bar concept in the heart of Leutkirch’s old town in the Allgäu region.

Pattana Naksut is a familiar face in the Leutkirch catering scene, having successfully operated the Sai Thai restaurant since its opening in 2017. With Luvia — a combination of his children’s names, Lucas and Olivia — Pattana Naksut is now establishing a second mainstay.

Hospitality (almost) around the clock

“We didn’t want it to be a typical Asian restaurant; we wanted it to be a place you can visit all day long,” says interior designer Elisa Seubert, who supervised the project with her colleague Luisa Reitemeyer. Enjoy a latte macchiato in the morning, sushi for lunch and a bar atmosphere in the evening – hospitality (almost) around the clock.

While Sai Thai’s focus is primarily on classic Thai cuisine, Pattana Naksut will broaden his guests’ culinary horizons further afield with Asian fusion dishes. Asian food fusion is the concept of combining different national cuisines: “Steak can be prepared wonderfully with curry sauce, and gnocchi are great in Asian dishes,” says the restaurateur, citing two examples. This modern cuisine deserves a modern ambience.

There is a DJ playing in the evening.

The location: One of the many historic buildings in the picturesque city centre. The challenge was to create a catering concept within 85 square metres that would allow cocktails to be served in the evening and easily transform the room into a dance floor when the DJ is playing.

Our customers love flexible concepts, and so do we. We design rooms that can do more: creative, versatile spaces that think outside the box. At Luvia, it looks like this: Compact tables made of oiled oak ensure maximum flexibility, while warm fabric elements on the benches along the walls create a cosy atmosphere in the room, despite its high ceilings.

Bar tables in the niches of the arched windows provide the perfect spot to watch the hustle and bustle of the old town. Gold-coloured brass elements on the ceiling wind elegantly around light tubes.

Lighting design sets the mood.

Speaking of light, our sophisticated lighting design creates an atmospheric ambience at any time of day. The highlight par excellence at the back of the dining area is the shiny blue metro tiles on the wall, which separate the bar area from the kitchen. Their glossy glaze catches and reflects light into the room, forming a blue and gold thread that runs through the entire concept.
