“Die Alm” is a modern hotel and restaurant located in the Black Forest region. A strong attachment to their home region as well as a personal touch have always been important to the hotel’s operators, and also influence the latest conversion of the old “Almstüble” restaurant and the adjoining function and conference rooms. The charming combination of old and new creates a special alpine atmosphere in the dining rooms.
The ecclesiastical character of the old ceiling has been retained but further enhanced with fresh colours. New, large floor tiles create an open and modern look. Movable glass walls provide more light in all rooms and allow for a more flexible layout depending on the occasion. Another novelty is the large breakfast bar where the guests can enjoy their morning meal in a homelike atmosphere.
What’s the first thing you think of at the mention of the Black Forest? You certainly think of the cuckoo clock and the red pompoms of the regional costumes. Do you know how many pompoms are arranged on such a typical Black Forest hat? The correct number is 14. Unmarried women wear red pompoms, and married women wear black ones. And the walls of the “Die Alm” hotel also boast the red pompoms. 100% Black Forest.
