The Thuringian Forest is one of Germany’s big sporting hubs where both summer and winter athletes find everything they are looking for. Sport Luck Oberhof makes an active contribution here with its wide range of courses and ski and bike rental. We brought the regional attraction into the store. This is how a “Shoppingwald” evolved where visitors can stroll around and wonder in amazement.
In an effort to reflect the local forest, old spruce wood is the main material at Sport Luck, and trees are the common theme in the store. Sometimes they are hand-drawn by artist Delia Maxim on grey painted walls, and sometimes they present themselves confidently in the form of genuine, upright stumps. Or they serve as relaxing benches with comfortable felt pads.
The reference to the Thuringian Forest sport region is carried to new heights by the use of geographic terms. The names of the most striking Thuringian peaks such as Inselsberg, Ruppberg, Beerberg, Schneekopf and Finsterberg are posted on the changing rooms.
Terms placed across corners accentuate the display furniture. Depending on the perspective, a new meaning results turning Grenzadler and Fichtenkopf into Grenzfichten and Adlerkopf.
