Sons & Daughters presents children’s fashion from leading lifestyle brands for ages 0 to 14 over almost 350 square metres of space. The concept is cheerful and light-hearted, but it has been carefully put together with the young target group in Memmingen very much in mind. There’s plenty to discover, for instance in the pictures on the walls, hand-drawn by the artist Delia Maxim: what animals are hiding in the lovingly illustrated scenes?
There’s the fun factor, too, with a big, sweeping slide connecting the two floors of the children’s fashion store. And then there are the mums and dads, grandmas and granddads, aunties and uncles, who are looked after too at Sons & Daughters. A lounge area with hot and cold drinks is provided for the whole family.
The material and colour concept sets the stage perfectly for the friendly and colourful assortment of products. Shelves of solid spruce, brushed and oiled, harmonise beautifully with the grey painted walls. Old window shutters in soft pastel shades, wooden silhouettes of houses, and oversized cuddly animals add eye-catching detail. It is a real world of discovery – not just for children.
